05.10.2020 | Health

The Road to Health Program is now on the Presidente Dutra Highway
Another great news for truck drivers: this month, the CCR Institute and CCR NovaDutra inaugurated a fixed service center of the Road to Health Program at km 82 of the Presidente Dutra highway towards Rio de Janeiro, in the municipality of Roseira (SP). With this new service center, in partnership with Arco-Íris gas station, truck drivers will have free clinical, medical and dental care at their disposal.
At the dental facility in operation since 2008, truck drivers are offered follow-up care, fluoride application, dental restoration and extraction and tartar removal. From now on, the fixed service center will provide clinical and medical care, including blood pressure measuring, blood glucose testing and EKGs.
“It’s extremely important that we offer these services to truck drivers, who find it difficult to schedule medical appointments due to their work routines. The Road to Health Program reinforces our commitment to the well-being and the quality of life of truck drivers,” stated Carla Fornasaro, CCR NovaDutra’s CEO.

For Jair Xavier, Institutional Relations, Communications and  Ombudsman Manager at CCR NovaDutra, the Road to Health Program is fundamentally important for the Presidente Dutra highway. Considered Brazil’s most important highway and along which around 50% of the Brazilian GDP is transported, it connects São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. “CCR NovaDutra has always been concerned about the health of professional drivers. For us, the inauguration of the fixed service center is the fulfillment of a dream. Truck drivers now has a new place where they can go to take care of their health,” he affirmed. Free health care to truck drivers on the Presidente Dutra highway
The Program began on the Presidente Dutra highway in 2002, when it used to be held through itinerant activities at service points along the highway. In order to meet truck drivers’ needs, the program was improved to be offered within companies while truck drivers waited cargo loading. During this period, they had been offered blood pressure measuring, blood glucose testing and eye exams. In 2008, Road to Health inaugurated the dental facility at the Roseira service center, offering dental care for the benefit of truck drivers.

With this new service center, in partnership with Arco-Íris gas station, truck drivers will have free clinical, medical and dental care at their disposal.
