The CCR Institute supported last month the Blue November movement. Several concessionaires put on the shirt of the cause and carried out awareness actions about prostate cancer. Check out what happened in some units:
Programa Estrada para a Saúde (Road to Health program - CCR ViaOeste)
Awareness action performed by the Nursing team, through conversation wheels and individual care. Using audiovisual resources (templates and video), the concessionaire showed the truck driver that the Blue November has the goal of raising awareness, encouraging men to take care of health.
Road to Health - CCR AutoBAn
Nurse Yuri Ritter Borovec gave a lecture on the road to health program in the concessionaire. Initially, the expert explained what prostate cancer is, its location in the human body and risk factors by age, family history and even poor diet. Participants were very interested in improving their diet and physical activity, increasing their health care.
CCR Metrô Bahia
The concessionaire's special action was the Espaço Azul (Blue space), a lounge set up at the North Access Station. Held in the first week of November, the initiative brought customers information and entertainment, with the support of the unit's partners. Nursing students from a partner college talked about the disease. As an entertainment and wellness option, relaxing massages were offered to guests, pressure gauging and nutritional assessment, as well as live jazz music.
Headquarters employees were invited to wear blue on the last Friday of the month. The concessionaire also encouraged all service teams, such as Traffic and Collection, to participate in the action.
A chat was held with oncologist Pedro Buiar, who gave tips on mapping prostate cancer, as well as recommendations on male health in general. The action featured a delicious breakfast.
