Project winner of the 3rd CCR Institute for Cultural Projects Notice takes children's show to several municipalities in Brazil
The stages of cities of Bahia, São Paulo and Paraná received, between May and June this year, the show "From Head to toe, without Foot or Head".
The story brings to the center the boy Henry and the relationship of the body with food. “He doesn't like to eat and, for that reason, gets sick. When sleeping, dreams of the whole process that happens inside the body. Henrique then comes to understand that food is fundamental to defend against the harm ”, explains Luiz Carlos Ribeiro, producer of the show.
In this scenario, basic themes of hygiene, disease prevention, healthy eating and quality of life are counted with mastery. Music and sound effects create a magical atmosphere among more than 25 actors that unfold into various characters, such as Mother, Leukocytes, Stomach, Tartar and Bacterial Plate, Nourishing and Infector.
To get closer to the audience and reinforce the approached habits, after each performance, the theater company pulls a conversation wheel. “In a country like ours, culture is not always accessible to everyone. Elements that reinforce its existence, including financial support to regions where it is scarcer, are priceless. Therefore, being included in the 3rd CCR Institute for Cultural Projects Notice was extremely important for us to be able to travel with the piece, ”says Luiz.
• The season included the cities of Lauro de Freitas, Salvador, Barueri, Jacareí, Ortigueira and Ponta Grossa.
• In each city, five presentations were held.
• The play was attended by 8,378 people, considering the spontaneous audience and students from municipal schools.
